| Personal History | Though born Orion, Iola has no idea where she comes from or who or what she really is. All she remembers is serving the mysterious Don and keeping his secrets for as long as she remembers. She never learned to talk and thus mostly communicates through signals and written communication. Her silence must not be mistaken for stupidity as Iola is highly intelligent. She serves her master, the Don, faithfully and without question. Through loyal service, she has earned certain freedoms and while quick to defend her master, or see to his needs, she is a curious creature who has no real idea what effect her innate pheromones may have on those around her. One day, she hopes to earn her freedom and see the universe. Early 2397, Iola was assigned to the USS Andromeda as an envoy for her Don. During that time, she learned to speak and fell in love. After several months of quiet dating, Iola married her love Michael Hawkins, and earned her freedom from her Don. Unfortunately her dreams were shattered when her husband was killed and it sent her into a downward spiral of grief for a while.
