| Personal History | He was born in 2375 to two Star Fleet officers assigned to Starbase 157. James was raised on Starbase 157 until he was orphaned at three during the Borg Invasion of 2381. He returned to live with his maternal grandparents on Mars at Utopia Planitia, where he would live until rogue Synths destroyed the fleet yards in 2385. Again orphaned, James would be sent to live with his paternal Uncle. His Uncle, another Star Fleet officer, was assigned to Deep Space 9. James would live with his Uncle on Deep Space 9 until 2392 when he enlisted with Star Fleet. During his enlistment, James rose to the rank of Petty Officer First Class. In 2396 James attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an Ensign upon graduation in 2397. After graduating, James would be assigned to the USS Pacific Palisades as the 3rd Shift Operations Officer. Halfway through his deployment on the Palisades, James would be promoted to Acting Chief Operations Officer after an accident with the warp core killed the Chief and Assistant Chief Operations Officer. Completing the cruise, James would be promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and reassigned with his CO's blessing to the USS Andromeda as Chief Operations Officer. | |
