Jon winked at her, let her go and made a run for it with the rope swinging out fearlessly. "Geronimo ……."

And now the continuation …………….

He grinned at her as he let go and fell down into the water below. A couple of moments later he swam back up and floated on his back happily. The water was warm enough and the weightlessness feeling was just watch the doctor ordered to relax. "Your turn love," he yelled back up.

"Ummmm . . . ." True said looking at the rope and back at him. "I'm not exactly adventurous. Horses are one thing. I'm mostly a bookworm," she reminded him.

"You can do it," Jon said back. "You will love it trust me."

"You I trust, this not so much." She took hold of the rope before remembering she still had her dress on and there was no way she was getting it wet. She slipped out of it, leaving her underthings on as she grabbed the rope again. "Once," she said as she jumped, her feet coming off the ground as she swung out over the water and let go. Her hair came unpinned and as she came up for air it was all hanging down in her face. She had to brush it back to be able to see.

"I did that once when I was eleven, but it wasn't over water. I watched my brothers doing it and decided to follow. They had a sing over a gully filled with tall dried dead grass mounds. I thought they would be soft but when I let go of the rope my feet hit the ground and my legs weren't strong enough to hold me up from the force. I collapsed and hit my knees against my chest, knocking the wind out of me. And from that point on I decided my brothers were idiots." She was smiling though.

"You were magnificent," Jon said swimming up to her. "And yeah your brothers sound a tad odd there."

He slipped his arms round her guiding her to a narrower part of the pool so they could stand. "How do you feel?"

"They were teenagers. And I'm not sure." She was keenly aware of how close he was as they stood there chest deep in the water. "Better now that you're here." She pressed herself against him, kissing him passionately without thought of where they were or what was going on around them.

Jon happily kissed her, pulling her as close to him as he could for as long as his lungs let him. When he came back up for air already missing the touch of her lips, he looked dopey and just came out with, "I love this. Being with you. I just wish I woke up and you were there every day and we could cuddle up every night."

She smiled and pressed her forehead to his after they had stopped kissing. She didn't say anything though, just remained where she was.

"Okay this is crazy I know but I am just so completely crazy about you. My Imzadi, I just love everything about you. Just the way you are," he stoked her cheek tenderly looking her right in the eyes.

"Would you give some thought about moving in?"

A funny coincidence since she had actually just been thinking about breaching the subject of marriage with him. Not immediately, but at some point she totally saw them spending the rest of their lives together. She blinked at him in surprise. "Well yes, of course I would. The only thing is how do you think Eddie would feel about it? And . . . . can you live with Atlas? I've noticed the two of you kind of have an issue."

Jon found he had been holding his breathe. When she said yes, he suddenly felt like the luckiest man in the universe. Then she mentioned the cat. And his teenager.

"Well," he said honestly. "I'll talk with Eddie. Man to … man. And Atlas, I thought we were turning a corner you know. And you're such a good counselor. I'm sure we can thrash anything out."

It was as if he was waiting in the bushes to time it. The cat darted past them dragging something.

"See," Jon joked. "Hes not chewing any furniture at present. Totally turning a corner." His eyes narrowed as he tried to work out just exactly what the cat was dragging.

"I've never had a session between my boyfriend and my cat before," True joked and then she realized something. "I think that might have been your trousers." She sighed. "I'm going to train that cat if it kills me." To her astonishment the doors to the holodeck opened and True ducked behind Jon. "You don't think . . . . I mean he couldn't just escape right?"

"I think … " Jon watched in amusement, "He just did. Oh … OH my comm. badge … in the pocket. He's truly a genius. We better stop him before he hot tails it to the bridge."

"At least he doesn't know how to fly the ship. You can borrow my dress if you like." True grinned at him as they made their way out of the water. It was only a moment before she realized that her dress wasn't there either. "Computer, end program." True called so that they could find anything as the grass and water disappeared. They were left in an empty room except for the picnic basic True had brought with her. Even the blanked had been replicated. "Well. Technically I still have clothing on. You may want to place that picnic basket in a strategic spot."

Jon just laughed. "I'm a betazoid male love. We have no issues being on show. You know how we get married right?" he asked her seriously.

She scoffed. That was one thing she hadn't thought about recently, but they'd hit that particular hurdle when they came to it.

"Although your probably right, if someone does come round the corridor, I suppose we don't want rumours of the Captain streaking."

"Yeah, I was looking out for the mental health of the crew. Some people may not be able to get that mental image out of their heads." It was going to look completely ridiculous, both of them sneaking back to quarters with very little on. "My quarters are closer," She whispered to him. "You can replicate clothes there."

Amelia Fox stepped out of the turbolift and made her way down the corridor. The first thing she saw was a cat with some clothes. She frowned but carried on walking. She then rounded a corner and stopped. She blinked a few times before clearing her throat. "Captain. Counselor. Have a missed a memo on new uniform guidelines?" She enquired, trying to keep a straight face."

True had a hard time keeping a straight face, as embarrassed as she was about being in her underwear. "Uh, something like that. Betazoid appreciation day? You didn't happen to notice a cat did you? Orange, fluffy? Perhaps with some clothes?"

Fixing her eyes on True's she nodded and pointed in the direction that she had seen the cat disappearing. Her cheeks were starting to redden slightly but keeping her voice calm she "If you'll excuse me, I have an appointment somewhere that..... isn't here."

"I completely understand," True said nodding seriously. "Umm, make an appointment if you feel like you need therapy to erase this image from your mind later," True called after her.

"I think betazoid appreciation day could be a thing you know," Jon said with a grin as Amelia made her swift exit sparing the Captain some dignity.

True couldn't help but snort with laughter. She lightly smacked Jon on the arm. "I am so going to have to deal with weeks of therapy after this. Come on, let's get you back to my quarters and find you some clothes."

"Spoilsport," Jon grinned. Knowing full well the last thing he wanted to do was get dressed in Trues quarters.
