ON:

Deimos shot forward rapidly as his consciousness awoke. He breathed rapidly several times as his eyes adjusted. His hibernation pod was breached in overgrown fauna. Slowly he sat up breaking through some of the growth.

He did a quick mental connect with the rest. No one else was awake. So he had the honour of being one of the first scouts to awaken.

His body ached requiring substance. How long had they been asleep?

He reached out and plucked the nearest thing growing and sucked what life available. When he projected into his shadow form once more he would scour the area from above and locate a bigger supply to fuel him for longer bursts away from the shackles of one’s body, but it was enough at present to start connecting dots.

They had been bet back. The enemy believing they had found the main nest when merely it was a large outpost. They had cut off plenty and were getting closer to the heart of them. The Valelis, the highest of their order had given the call for hibernation. Make them think they were gone, ready to return again and conquer once more. It had only meant to be a couple of hundred years. Something had gone wrong. Very wrong.

And someone had ventured into his patch, switching on one of the enemy war machines he had made inactive. He had to deal with that first. Ensure nothing further got into hands he did not wish them too.

With a poof he ecstatically projected into his shadow form and set off to the explosion making the planet killer inactive once more. There were more at the planet. The people who had meddled. He could use them, he needed guides into this new time and he would bend them to his will ready to awaken the Grand Valelis once again.
