Mission: Mission 5 - Season of the Witch?
Location: Transporter Room 1

The blue white shimmer of the transporter effect faded revealing the transporter room with its deep green walls and orange doors, the classic colours of the Galaxy Class transporter room. It felt familiar as well as a Galaxy class had been the first ship she had served on. Her transfer here had been something of a rush and all she knew was that Starfleet needed more telepaths in this region of space given a situation that had arisen with a Science Vessel not to far from the Briar Patch. She also knew that her brothers ship, the USS Copernicus was not a million light years from this area and that Osil, her other brother had also been redeployed to this area. Sadly she had missed the transport ship by a few hours so had missed travelling with her brother. Instead, she had borrowed a pilot and shuttlecraft to bring her where she needed to be.

Standing infront of the transporter console was a red clad Lieutenant, and heavily pregnant as well. She assumed this would be the welcoming committee which usually would have been the ships First Officer.
"Ensign Haistro, reporting for duty sir!"

Amelia smiled warmly at the new arrival. "Welcome aboard the Andromeda. I'm lieutenant Fox, the XO. If you'll follow me please, I'll show you to your quarters." She turned and headed for the door. "How was your journey getting here?" She asked as they waited for the turbollift to arrive.

"Rushed... I only received the orders a few hours ago and had to request the use of a pilot and shuttlecraft... Something to do with needed Telepaths in the region. Beyond that, I've not really been told very much!"
She handed the PADD over with orders to the ships First Officer, sensing the new life that was growing in the other women. "How far along are you? I can sense the baby... strong already!"

Amelia patted her stomach. "About 6 months. The baby's father is Vulcan so I'm not sure if that will make a difference on how long she'll be in there. I don't know if it's my imagination or what, but I keep getting feelings from her."

The turbolift arrived and Amelia led the way, speaking to the computer as the doors closed behind them. "Crew quarters, deck 14."

"It could be a telepathic connection given the Vulcan heritage... I know a few techniques to help you strengthen the bond... if you are interested... plus being new here and all I could do with a friend or two!" she offered with a smile that could brighten anyone's bad mood.

"That's very kind of you to offer." Amelia replied as the turbolift came to a halt, the doors opening. Amelia led the way down the corridor. "I'm sure you'll want to get settled into your new quarters."

"I'm hoping that the shuttle pilot has sent over all of my belongings!"
She realised as they walked she had not made real arrangements for that aspect of being reassigned. Her bags and cases had been packed onto the shuttle but she had forgotten to speak to the pilot about what to do with it all.

They stopped at the door to her quarters and Amelia pressed the door controls. As the door opened, Amelia noted the pile of bags in the middle of the room. “Well, it looks like the pilot got the message. Are all your bags here?”

"Fantastic" Ileyana exuded as she moved into the room. It was larger than she had expected or was accustomed too but placed that down to the sheer size of the Galaxy Class starship. "Would you like anything Commander... a drink?"

"Unfortunately right now I've got other duties to attend to but I'm free this evening if you'd like to meet in the Medusa's head and have a drink then? That's on deck 10, section 1." Amelia said, before taking a step back towards the door. "I'll let you get settled in. if you'll excuse me."

"I'll be there" Ileyana called before the door could close fully before turning back to her belongings. "Couldn't they have beamed it all directly into the closet!"
