ON:

Naturally a light sleeper, Aidan stirred and opened his eyes. He wasn't sure what had woken him up this time. Lately, he was not sleeping too great to begin with, especially not with Emme so far along in her pregnancy. He turned over to face her, watching her as she slept, smiling as he gently ran the back of his fingers over her cheek before gently resting his hand on her stomach.

From the shadows, Fox spoke. "Now what a touching scene. Please don't stop on my account. Oh, by the way, I have a phaser trained on you both in case you were thinking of doing something you'll regret..."

Emme's eyes fluttered open at the sound of another person's voice. She was a light sleeper generally and often woke when Aidan rolled over. She'd been more tired than usual lately because of her condition and so she'd been trying to catch sleep where she could. But something was very wrong. She pushed herself up to a somewhat sitting position and stared wide-eyed at the other woman.

Fox locked eyes with Emmony. "Well hello there. You look like you're ready to pop. I thought you would like to know some things about your husband from another woman he was intimate with and is now carrying his child. Do you know he took advantage of me?"

The Trill's eyes flashed angrily, but he said nothing. Instead, he sat up and shifted so he could protect his wife if needed. He had, thankfully, already told her what had happened. He felt that nothing he would say now, would be any helpful and might only antagonize the intruder. So instead, he just touched her hand, and squeezed it gently.

Fox looked at Aidan with what an expression of pitty and disappointment "He also refuses to acknowledge his child. He has his way and then I get dropped at the first sign of trouble." She turned to look at Emmony "If I were you dear, I'd get rid of him now... I'd be more than happy to take him off your hands for you... I like the noises he makes... and my last plaything seems to have been taken by..... Someone as good looking as I am"

Emme pondered her words carefully. "I hardly think I'm going to take your word over his. He's never lied to me and has already told me what happened. It might indeed be his child, but it certainly wasn't authorized and if it's all the same to you I think I'll keep him. We have more than love to sustain us."

Aidan gently rubbed her arm. "Easy," he murmured, "don't let her egg you on. She's got nothing on us, let's not agitate her. Perhaps she'll just leave."

Fox looked at them both. "That is just so...... nauseating. Well, Don't say I didn't warn you." She stood, still keeping the phaser trained on both of them. "Your husband is quite right. I'm just saying goodbye to a few select people before I get off this dreary ship. So I called in on Syvar and I shot him. Then I called in on Amelia and shot her..... You see where I'm going with this?" Her face brightened. "So, who wants to be first?"

Visibly angry, Aidan shifted to move himself between Fox and Emme. "Shoot me if you want, but spare her," he said tightly, "she's got nothing to do with this."

"What's the point?" Emme asked, a little bit ticked off at this point but also curious. "Shooting everyone you come across? It's going to take you a bit to get off the ship if you keep that up."

She laughed. "I'm not going to shoot everyone. You should consider yourself honored that I choose you. You call that begging? Tell you what, you move aside and I'll shoot you and leave, How's that?"

"Why would I beg when I know I can't trust you." Aidan glared at her, refusing to budge. Instead he steeled himself for the inevitable, inwardly praying their unborn wouldn't be harmed.

Fox blew air through her lips. “Fine.” She leveled the phaser at Aidan. “I guess you’ll be unconscious as I torture and muddy your wife. If I were you I’d have one last look at her now.” She paused before firing at him.

With Aidan unconscious, she turned to Emmony. “Looks like it’s just you and me.”

Emme reached for him, but she was fairly certain from a quick look at the phaser that Aidan was indeed only stunned. "It appears so. What have you gained by entering here? What do you want?"

Fox looked disappointed. "I wanted to see the pain in his eyes when I shot you but, he's so whipped. You've really done a number on him. I should thank you, but it would be more fun to kill you." She turned the phaser on Emmony.

As the beam struck her, a blue blur dived down at the intruder, a high pitched screech filling the bedroom. Claws dug into the intruder's arms as blazing eyes met the woman's. Sherlock was in a frenzy, his anger over his hurt master and mistress quite evident.

Fox let out a cry of pain as she grabbed the creature and flung it to the other side of the room. Unlike last time, she could tell this thing was after her blood and she decided to beat a hasty retreat, getting out of the quarters as fast as she could. She could deal with the wound on her arm with the medical kit she had in her shoulder bag.
