ON:

Amelia was doing her best to look after Syvar while he recuperated. She had made him his favourite meal this evening and right now she was just tidying up after putting some food out for Ratty.

Syvar had retired to the couch, feeling stiff and sore even if he knew he really shouldn't be. He grimaced as he shifted to be more comfortable.

In the kitchen area, Amelia poured them both a cup of tea and came back in. As she re-entered the room she paused for a moment. A look of concern crossed her face. "Are you feeling ok. Your face looks flushed." She quickly crossed the room and crouched down in front of him, placing the cups on the table.

"Sore," he answered thinly as he tried to shift again, "and very uncomfortable. My chest is burning, like it's on fire. I shouldn't be sore." He glanced up at her with bright eyes. "I don't want to go back to sickbay."

She looked at his face, his eyes. Her lips thinned slightly but curled up at the edges. "You know the cute Vulcan look won't always get you what you want." She reached out and squeezed his hand, also using it to steady as she rose up from her crouched position. She let out a small grain as she did. "You know in about 5 months, You'll be bending over to get things for me."

She went over to a small medical bag she had prepared and came back with a medical tricorder. "If my mother was anything to go by when she was expecting. She told me tales of how she ended up looking like she'd swallowed a shuttle. Bending over was impossible. The only thing that stopped her killing my father was he gave great massages." She looked at him with a mock stern face as she opened the tricorder up. "I have high expectations of similar treatment Mister."

"I'll give you all the massages you need," Syvar promised with the faintest of smiles, "and you'll still be beautiful even if you think you're a whale."

The look on her face changed to a frown, then to more concerned as she scanned. "You've got a fever and the beginnings of fluid collecting in your lungs. This makes no sense." she continued to talk as she scanned. "It's like you've got an infection. Do you have any untreated wounds?"

Syvar started to shake his head but ended up wrenching his eyes closed. "No I don't think so... Not that I know of... Maybe something got in, and it was missed?"

"Well there is something and we better find it." She continued running the tricorder over his body until she stopped. "Here, There's a bacterial infection right here and what looks like..." She paused and double-checked her readings. She looked at him perplexed "A scratch mark? It's caused an infection and its starting to spread." She shook her head as she went back to retrieve the medial bag. This time , when she brought it back, she produced a hypospray to kill the infection and a dermal regenerator.

"How on earth did you get a scratch there. it almost looks like a.... claw mark." she mused.

"C-claw?" He shrugged out of his tunic, wanting to see it for himself. "I don't remember any claws...." He had no real recollection of the doctor using his claw to cut away his shirt either.

"Yeah. It looks angry and it looks massive." Amelia said as she prepared the hypo and pressed it to his skin. It discharged with a soft hiss. "There, you should start to feel better soon. You might need another dose in the morning." She then picked up the dermal regenerator and paused as she saw he was scrutinising the wound.

"Whatever made that, it must have hurt." She said as she gently kissed his forehead. before she achieved the device and ran it over the wound. The area remained slightly red but the skin was healed.

Amelia scanned with the tricorder once again to be sure. "The redness will go away when all the infection has gone. Are you feeling any better?"

"The discomfort is fading," Syvar answered, closing his eyes as she kissed him, "where would I be, if I didn't have you to look after me?"

Amelia started to run her hand over his bare chest. "Maybe I can help you relax this time?" She asked seductively as she continued to tend to his sore muscles.

He sighed softly under her touch, grimacing as his muscles protested. "Relaxing is good, but I'm in no shape for...that... maybe a bath?" Hot water was relaxing, perhaps with some oils, it'd help the remaining soreness fade.

"Of course" she replied. "One hot relaxing bath with soothing oils coming up." She stood and made her way to the bathroom.

Soon the sound of water running could be heard and steam way gently out of the bathroom door. She called to him on the sofa. "Do you know the good thing about the bath in these quarters?"

Syvar struggled himself up to his feet, ready to move - slowly - towards the bathroom. "No love, I don't," he answered, an unseen smile on his face, "but I'm sure you'll tell me?"

There was a rustling sound followed by Amelia's uniform being flung from through the bathroom doorway. It landed on the floor near him.

"It's big enough for two."
