He'd gone to see the Second officer, but Ethan wasn't done there. He had his goal to acquaint himself with the command staff. After all, best for them to know who had come aboard especially since he was the current assistant chief intelligence officer.

Ethan checked with the computer to find out where Commander Fox was located, and hoped when he did go visit her, she wasn't indisposed.

"Computer, where is Commander Fox located?" Ethan asked, looking up at the ceiling and he seemed to do frequently while talking with the computer.

The computer replied “Commander Fox is on the main bridge.

With the knowledge of her location, Ethan headed to the bridge, when the lift doors opened, he stepped out. He hadn't been on the bridge since the last time he'd been there as Rose's defacto XO while the command staff was on that planet that had the virus.

On the bridge, Amelia’s watch was almost finished. She was sat in the Captain’s chair looking forward to slipping into a nice warm bath and listening to some nice relaxing music.

Ethan walked up towards Amelia, "Hello Commander Fox, I'm Lieutenant Smith, I came to introduce myself." a pleasant smile of greeting.

Amelia smiled back "Ah, I wondered when we'd cross paths. Welcome aboard Lieutenant Smith. You'll forgive me if I don't stand up... In my condition." She indicated her sizable baby bump. She then indicated her usual chair next to her. "Please sit."

"You are quite fine, Commander, and it would be more of me standing up than you, it's the gentlemanly thing you know?" his smile turning to a grin, then took the seat. "I've only been in this particular seat once. Was quite the strange sensation." giving a slight laugh. "Anyway, I decided to call this meeting to offer my services as an intelligence officer. And thank you for the welcome."

"I was reviewing the personnel records the other day and I saw you came aboard while we were investigating the incident at the Meladoste colony," Amelia recalled. "One of our more... interesting away missions."

"So I have gathered, I am glad that the... cure was found. I'm sure you heard about the excitement here as well. What happened caught us off guard while we were dealing with two traders, and then someone got kidnapped. I am glad Doctor Syvar was safely found." Ethan remarked with a wry expression. "Made me feel unsettled at that happening. We haven't found any trace of who had done that. I am thinking that whoever did it left the ship with Syvar being their unwitting hostage."

Amelia frowned. “It looks that way. Typical, I get mentally turned into a child and my husband get whacked over the head and kidnapped. If I ever get my hands on those responsible…”. She took a deep breath. “We still don’t know what their ultimate goal was or if there are any more accomplices on board the Ship.”

"Well can go looking into that, and will do the research. There is a good bet though that, they may have left once they were done with their mission. Who knows. Can't leave anything to chance though, right?" Ethan having a serious expression in his eyes.

"That sound a good idea Lieutenant." Amelia shifted in her seat "There is another subject I need you to look into." She leaned closer and lowered her voice. "We need to find where my mirror counterpart is hiding. She just had a run-in with the USS Merlin and fled in a Federation runabout after poisoning a planet, attacking the Merlin with a group of mercenaries and murdering the colony supervisor in cold blood. Melody... That is Captain Jones thinks she'll be looking for a quiet place to have her baby."

"Such is the case for ladies who are expecting. I had heard about that happening and that was definitely concerning to several people. Also about Mirror Fox I noticed that Belikov has a file on her. Seems she has been working on tracking down her whereabouts. Seems to have a personal vested interest." Ethan remarked. "Or a vendetta, I had asked her about it but Belikov was a bit... quiet about it."

"Work with Belikov and keep at it. I want her found before she delivers." Amelia said, keeping her voice low. "The safety of the baby is the number one priority here."

Ethan nodded, "Indeed, Commander, Belikov and I will keep at it. I probably need to get back to work and see if there is more that can be found, and see if any of my contacts have come up with anything else."

"Very good Lieutenant. I'll let you get back to your duties. Just one more thing." Amelia paused before adding "I want you to keep any information on my mirror counterpart restricted to myself, the Captain, the Doctor and Lieutenant Belikov. Understood?"

"Understood, Commander. I am very good at keeping secrets." Ethan giving a bit of a smile. "I will see you later on." the intelligence officer giving a nod, then left the bridge.
