ON:

J'Tan tried to hold back his laughter at the female having to run to "use the facilities" again. Once someone ate space weevil and had to have the stuff to clear its nastier effects from your system you could guarantee they never did it again.

"Better?" he said casually as she sat down at the table again. He slid a glass of water in her direction wondering if now would be the time they would finally reveal who they were. He suspected …. or hoped it was the Federation but it was one of the worst covers in history if it was. He still hadn't ruled out the Cetea sending a party in to keep him busy.

"More water Spots?" he asked. The other alien had only chosen to drink water which was a big red flag on this station most of the time anyway.

Not one to be angered easily, Aidan's patience was starting to wear thin. "What's with the name calling," he countered, "my name is Sherlock." Yet he shoved his empty glass forward. "Yes, please. A little more frosted if possible? I do prefer it to be near frozen." His concern for Amelia was also very visible. "Ma'am... are you sure you're feeling alright? Maybe we should head home and have the doctor check you out."

J'Tan laughed outloud. "Considering you two are yet to pay for anything and at my hospitality I'll call you whatever I like … Spots."

"If you treat all your customers like this it's a wonder you still have customers at all," Aidan countered, eyes starting to sparkle just a fraction with his annoyance.

"You brought a doctor?" J'Tan asked curious. "Or your not that far away from here to get to one? What she's taken will take about 12 hours for her system to get back to normal. Is it worth the trip? Are you really traders?" he insisted.

Amelia tossed the water back in a single draught. Her eyes flicked to their host to see if he had picked up on the Ma'am from Aidan. Luckily, he showed no outward sign. She fixed her eyes back on Aidan with a cold stare. Staying in character, she replied "Your concern for my well-being is touching, but call me Ma'am one more time and I'll have you killed. I'm still well enough to collect my share of the profits."

She looked at J'Tan "I'm not sure which is worse. The parasites or what you've given me for the parasites. The names Fox by the way, and you are." While she was speaking shew pulled out a strip of gold-pressed latinum from her jacket pocket and placed it on the table. Some of her winnings from her many poker games. "Do you have anything stronger? A bottle of blood wine perhaps?"

"Is that wise?" Aidan said as he drained his glass of water. He frowned as he sat it back down on the table. "Excuse me," he added, walking off to where he assumed the men's room would be. Since Amelia had said she felt well enough, he felt he could leave her for a minute or two since she was engaged in a conversation.

"Now you are talking my language," J'Tan stated pocketing the latinum and heading to the back of his bar then returning with dusty bottle. "You Starfleet types don't blend in well do you?" he lowered his voice.

Amelia regarded him for a moment, deciding if she should try and keep up the charade. In the end, she dediced to take a risk. "You sent the message didnt you?"

Meanwhile in the gents, a large foot lashed out to trip up the spotted alien when he attempted to leave again. "What's a handsome fella like you doing in J'Tans joint then?" a male voice rang out.

Thanks to years of training, the Trill had developed reasonably good reflexes. He rolled with his fall as he was tripped up and ended up in a crouch. "Hoping to do business with my associate," he answered, referring to the female he'd arrived with. As he crouched, his left hand moved towards his back, ready to grab his hidden weapon. "Why. What's it to you."

"I was thinking bagging you might make me some latium, on the open market so to speak. Both men and the ladies will pay generously for such an exotic species. Tell me how far do those spots go up?" He hissed. "Plus added bonus, I get to piss J'Tan off snatching one of his customers in the process," he laughed.

Hand closing around his Ushaan-tor's handle, Aidan started to get back to his feet. "And you think I would let myself be taken just like that?" he challenged, "I'm no-one's property." Except, perhaps his wife's but that was another discussion entirely.

The alien roared in laughter. "Aren't you cute. What you gonna do Spots?" he asked pulling out a energy disrupter.

Pulling the Andorian mining tool from its sheath, Aidan jumped. He knew he might get shot, but he couldn't just let it happen. A warrior didn't go down without at least trying to fight. As he launched himself, he drew the weapon clear, the metal gleaming in the low light. "Fight," he hissed between clenched teeth.

A dart flew out from the direction of one of the stalls piercing his skin as an accomplice looked on. "Why do you always have to flirt with them ehh? We haven't got time for this," he muttered. "No fight, you pass out. Comprendez?"

French? Aidan managed to wonder as the force of the dart threw him off course and he crashed against the floor, Ushaan-tor skittering from his hand. He tried to draw himself up to his feet but he found himself powerless to do so. "What..." he started, feeling his arms give. His vision swam, before it went black altogether and he lost consciousness.

Before he could answer, over his shoulder Amelia spotted Aidan being dragged out of the toilet by an alien weraing robes. She rolled her eyes "Oh No! What's he gone and done now?" Before J'Tan could stop her, Amelia was on her feet and heading over to help Aidan.

J'Tan followed her as some idiots decided it was a neat idea to snatch someone in his bar. He wasn't happy about that. She looked like she was going to start off after them which was a very unwise idea. So he decided to prevent it. Pulling the tiny device out of his pocket he shot at her neck and then rushed forward grabbing hold of her before she nose-dived.

Feeling the pinch in her neck and reached up and pulled out the dart. "Oh, It's got a desherizerd pillervery system......" Realising she was rapidly losing consciousness, she looked at J'Tan with a cold stare. "Oh...... You Son of a....... " she managed to get out before the blackness swallowed her and knees buckled.
