Location: Sickbay
Timeline: After Confinement post
2491 words - 5 OF Standard Post Measure

ON:

Jon had deliberately waited a little while to see if any further incident occurred involving his acting CMO. He suspected he had been compromised so when security informed him that MU Fox had been transported to sickbay and he was yet to receive any report on why or notification from the CMO that his prisoner had a medical issue he decided it was time to end whatever what going on there.

He walked in nodded at the first nurse he saw and announced "I need to speak to Dr Syvar,"

"Hes in one of the private wards sir, I'll take you," she advised.

Both Jon and the nurses mouths dropped open as they saw the damage in the room that the acting CMO was in and seemingly alone and in his thoughts.

"What happened Dr Syvar?" Jon asked loudly. The Vulcan didn't look as particularly neat as usual. Like he had hurriedly put his clothes on running late and sprinted out his quarters.

Syvar literally jumped as he was suddenly spoken to, whirling to face the commanding officer. "Ah..." he started, then faltered. He felt flustered and looked like a deer caught in the headlights as he sought for a comprehensible answer. His eyes darted to his nurses, then to Jon, and then back to the nurses. "My office," he finally told Jon, desperate for some privacy. As he hurried out, he ordered the nurses to straighten up the ward.

"Not yet," Jon overruled that order. "I rather think security might need to take a look over.

I do hope it wasn't Sherlock doctor," Jon told him following him to his office. He could tell that the Vulcan was uneasy about him overruling his order to tidy up the room. "I heard a distrurbing report Aidans pet ended up in here. He can be quite excitable I know. He's appeared in my quarters in the middle of the night. Scared the begeezes out of me before I can tell you."

"No, it wasn't Sherlock," Syvar answered timidly, shaking his head to affirm the denial. "Sherlock is sleeping, I'm keeping him sedated for the moment to allow his wing to heal. As I have informed Lieutenant Datari, when he came in earlier." He paused. "I don't know how Sherlock got hurt though, Lieutenant Hawkins brought him in."

Turning, he ordered the door locked and comms held for the moment, ensuring their privacy. "It was Lieutenant Fox," he finally said, holding his breath as he anxiously studied the captain, "I mean..." The Vulcan faltered, biting his lower lip as he studied the man, not sure he should say anything else.

"Who attacked Sherlock or who attacked that room and has you in a state of what I can only describe as confusion, shame and fear?" Jon insisted. "What has she done to you?"

"I don't know who attacked Sherlock," Syvar answered desperately. That was the truth of it. Though he could suspect now, he could truthfully state that he didn't know. "As for what she's done..." This time, the young doctor turned away, leaning his hands on his desk as he looked down. "I'm not sure I want to tell you. I probably should but it's...personal."

Jon sat down and folded his leg over his other one. "I'll ask you directly doctor. Have you been compromised? Does she have something over you? You need to talk to me now even if it is personal as recent events do not look favourably on you.

The woman currently on the ship is not our Amelia Fox and theres a matter of her managing to get hold of large quantities of several drugs - anaesthetics to be fact which she could have only have got with medical authorisation. A couple of hours ago she tried to knock out the entire crew with them through the environmental systems.

So you are either working with her or she has manipulated and cajoled you. I know which I want to believe. I like to think my confidence in you is well placed. So talk to me and lets get some light on this so it doesn't end up with you joining her in the brig."

The Vulcan went nearly white at that revelation. "I don't know anthing about drugs," he said, his voice shaking, "not large quantities but...." He was suddenly feeling very weak and he had to put some effort in keeping himself to his feet. "She did threaten me," he confessed slowly, "she's hurt me.." He had the bruises still to prove that, and he was certain their last escapade had probably added a few to them. "She has this device..." Now he stopped, afraid to reveal how she'd managed to get it on him, afraid that so much as the revelation might have it turned on as if by sheer power of will.

"I believe you don't know anything about the drugs," Jon said simply. His empathic senses told him that. "But the question still remains how did she get an authorisation code out of you? And why haven't you reported it?

"I don't know how she got my authorisation codes, I don't recall giving them to her.." Yet in retrospect he realized it was entirely possible he had given them to her when she had tortured him with the agonizer. If that was so, his memory had blocked it out. "I didn't report it because I didn't know about the drugs. She only wanted three vials and she threatened to hurt me with her device if I didn't get her what she demanded." He bit his lip, almost to the point of bloody. "She used it on me anyway."

Is it the same device you found in Aidan?" he asked.

Syvar shook his head. "No..what we found on Lieutenant Datari was a kind of listening device. Though I won't put it beyond her to have put one on me, I'm not aware of any such device." Turning back, he lifted up his tunic to show him the almost healed scar. "She put an agonizer on me," he said, visibly trembling at the very idea of it being turned on. "And she's used it... several times..." His eyes were dull with pain as he remembered lying writhing and begging on the floor, having no control over how or where he fell as it was used.

"I get that your frightened and clearly been through a lot of pain but you still should have reported her. Shes in the brig now. I am not going to let her hurt you again and she will be facing charges. Theres more isn't it?"

"Did she seduce you?" Jon pressed. He was rapidly trying to compute in his head why Syvar would not have reported a senior officer torturing a crew member. Yes he was green in the role and Starfleet but he refused to believe he was stupid.

"I mean theres still the question of why you haven't tried to remove the device. And why she was beamed here less than an hour ago and was in that room with you. That room that looks like you could have had a round of pon farr in there."

"Seduce is a strong word... she tried and I said no," Syvar confessed, "then she...did something... It made me feel all strange and warm and...compliant. She said not to try anything because her lifesigns are tied to it...and she said removing it would kill me as it's set to explode if I try to tamper with it."

He paused, his cheeks colouring a deep green in embarrassment. "We...we did... mate..." he stammered out, "she was feeling sick and to properly treat her I had to take her to sickbay. Then she came on to me again, I had no choice but to comply." Even if he was physically stronger, it just never occurred to him to fight back. "When we were done...I transported her straight back. I didn't want for this to happen, but she's very..persuasive."

"I strongly suspect Syvar, that she is lying about it being tied to her life signs. She was willing to gas the whole ship so you would have been affected too if she had succeeded. And I'm pretty sure theres a way to get that out of you without it exploding. I'm going to speak with her so I will find the truth of that. Women can be very persuasive but being an empath has its benefits too when trying to get to the truth of matters," he sighed. "However I think for your safety you should not be around her again. I will make that an order if I have too."

"What did you treat her for?"

Syvar shook his head. "You misunderstand. She said that if I were to try and kill her, it'd activate the agonizer and leave me in considerable agony until someone would look for me. And I can't stay away from her... I have to bring her a book from Lieutenant Fox's quarters as I said I would bring it to her." He paused. "As for treatment that's confidential sir. Even if she's the enemy I can't violate my oaths and discuss her condition with anyone."

"Syvar I make that a direct order then. I want a report on what she needed treating on. For starters if you expect me to allow any further treatments while she is in the brig I need full transparency. She tortured you. Who knows what else she might try. She tried to take over the ship and yes she is the enemy and you have been compromised. I could relieve you from duty right now. I strongly feel you need a sedative and a counselor immediately. My next port of call will be Counselor Keating."

The Vulcan's eyes flashed ever so briefly. "She's my patient, only I will see to her needs." he answered stiffly. "I won't freely disclose her medical condition."

"I'll happily make that an order if you want me to and you are free to report it to Starfleet medical but we are having no further surprises," Jon stated firmly.

"You are also removed from being her doctor. You will not be treating her again,"

"You can't do that," Syvar protested, "I have to go see her. She won't want anyone else near her anyway." as it was a direct order, syvar had no choice but to comply. "She's pregnant," he finally said, "I had taken her here to confirm it as she was feeling sick. And I need to see her again later as she wanted something to read and I told her I'd get it for her."

"I can do that. In fact I am going to do this for your safety, you are removed of duty until such time as counselor Keating assures me you are not suffering from some sort of Stockholm syndrome. You are protecting the person who tortured and sexually assaulted you. And now shes pregnant. And it could be your child. You cannot be her doctor now as there is a conflict of interest. True cannot be my counselor because we are in a relationship," Jon told him.

"And in terms of dropping a book off, someone will do it while she is sleeping and she will be told it was you. You are not going in her path again until you are emotionally stable and that device is out of you," Jon told him.

"This is outrageous," Syvar protested, "even if you are removing me from duty, you can't keep me from visiting her. I'm perfectly capable of making sound decisions." Yet he wasn't sure who he was trying to convince, the captain, or himself. He knew, deep down, the captain was right but still...enemy or no he too had a duty of care.

"You are not to go near the brig. Thats an order," Jon insisted really hoping he wasn't going to do anything else idiotic further. "I want you to report to counselling immediately after you get one of the medical staff to check you over physically. You said you had been hurt. I have sensed your pain during this conversation so I know you have not managed to heal yourself appropriately. Thats the priority too and sleep I think Syvar. I don't think you have slept properly since this whole situation started."

"Of course I couldn't heal myself," Syvar snorted, visibly annoyed now. "I can't exactly self medicate now can I? And I couldn't exactly ask a nurse either without raising alarm. And that's exactly what I needed to avoid." He purposefully didn't acknowledge the order of staying away, because he already knew he wasn't going to be able to obey it.

"Then …" Jon said trying not to be even more upset about this situation and retaliate angrily back, "Lets get you sorted then." He noticed the lack of "yes sir" to his order of not going near the brig and sighed inwardly. Now he had to alert security to alert him when he showed up at the brig.

The part betazoid stood up, "Is there anything else you have missed and should tell me." He knew True had alerted him to Syvar desperately needing a copy of his psyche file. He hoped Syvar would come clean now but feared he was too far gone in the seeing sense stakes right now.

The Vulcan shook his head. "No sir, nothing else."

Jon nodded disappointed. He stepped out of the office and ordered the first nurse he found.

"Dr Syvar has been relieved of duty but is in need of a check up. I believe he has injuries that need attention. Please have Lieutenant JG Kovan Talios see to him and then he needs escorting to counselling. The ward, security will be coming down and taking a look at that before it can be put straight again. The team that come down can escort him.

I hope you feel better soon Syvar. I'm sure we will speak again once I receive counselling's recommendations," Jon told him.

"Now which way is Sherlock," Jon asked feeling a need to check on that pet while he was here.

Feeling utterly miserable, Syvar pointed towards one of the wards. "He's in there. Trust me captain, he's alright. His wing will be alright, I gave him a mild sedative to rest so he wouldn't go flying about when he shouldn't. I would never do anything to hurt him...or anyone."

Jon said nothing more and walked out in the direction he pointed. Trust was a difficult concept with Syvar right now.

Feeling miserable, Syvar sank down in his chair, burying his face in his hands. This day just seemed to go from bad to worse.
