Hostage situation

Having called in on Syvar, the other Amelia, Aidan and his wife Fox was now ready to leave the ship. She carried the medkit she had taken from sickbay and she still had the phaser. She had just to pick up her PADD from her hiding place and then make her escape.

As she retrieved the PADD, she could hear voices coming from further down the Jefferies tube. She drew the phaser and proceeded with caution. What she found was a couple of teenagers. "Well well well, how fortunate!" she said as she emerged into the intersection, aiming the phaser at both of them. "Looks like I've found some insurance to make sure I get off this ship in once piece."

Tia opened her mouth to say hi to the woman . . . . but when she realized a phaser was pointed at her she shut her mouth again and stared in disbelief. "I know we weren't supposed to be down here but I didn't think it was that serious Ma'am." Tia started to say.

The woman replied, "Well it is....." Her voice trailed off as she recognized the young boy. "You're the Captain's son! This keeps getting better and better! You, I need but you..." She turned back to Tia "Give me a good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now."

"Because if you do I will not cooperate with you in any way shape or form," Eddie said protectively. "Your not our ships XO. I know who you are."

She gave him a wicked smile. "You are your fathers son. You're smart and you've got guts kid. Now, if you don't want the sight of her blood spraying across your face to be the last thing your girlfriend sees, I suggest you both get up and do what I say, now MOVE!"

“Tia come on,” Eddie said calmly reaching for her hand. “So your escaping then? Good riddance I say. Is this just to get back at my dad cause he didn’t let you have quarters. Cause,” he pushed Tia in front of him at the hatch, “your missing a trick. I’m his son. I have every bit of dirt on him going.”

Fox chuckled at his remark.

Tia wondered if Eddie was keeping her talking to distract her for some plan. She didn't know what that might be yet, but Tia was taking in every word the other Ameilia said, every action she took in case it could be important later. Tia had a very good memory for such things. She took the hand Eddie offered and rose to her feet.

Eddie took his moment as she was genuinely amused and pushing Tia as hard as he could out the way he aimed a high kick at the phaser in the other woman’s hand.

“RUN,” he yelled at Tia as the phaser bounced off the wall behind her. Eddie set his shoulder and charged the mu version of the XO as hard as he could, determined to buy a Tia as much time as possible. His father through their link could sense he was in danger. He just had to keep her busy until security arrived.

But Tia hesitated. It wasn't that she wasn't scared, she was terrified but one didn't run when faced with a Braxilian Bull Rooter. You stood your ground because it was much less danger to you and those around you. Taking the opportunity, Tia dived for the phaser, held it in her hand, pointed it at the struggling pair and yelled, "STOP!"

Fox managed to grab the boy the throat and swung him between herself and Tia, forming a human barrier. "Try it sister! Fox called out. "Perhaps your little friend needs a real woman's touch..." She added before kissing Eddie aggressively.

Eddie struggling for breathe and startled finally found his voice and went “Ewwwwww“ loudly.

Well that didn't go as she had planned it. Now what was she supposed to do. No doubt Eddie had already alerted his father as to what was going on but there was no telling how far away help was. Tia made a decision she might regret but it seemed like the thing to do to keep both of them safe. She looked at Eddie. "I'm really sorry about this," and stunned him. Then she handed the phaser to Fox. "Now he's of no use to you and you have to take me instead. I may not be the Captain's son but he still likes me so you have some bargaining there."

As Eddie slumped unconscious in her grip, Fox rolled her eyes. She looked at Tia incredulously "You shot your boyfriend?" Her expression changed to a small smile and she gave the girl a nod of respect "Good for you. It will make him learn his place."

Suddenly a voice came over the comm system "General quarters! Intruder Alert!"

Fox sighed "Look's like that my alarm call." She looked back at Tia, after a while, She picked her bag back up "No offence kid, but you'll slow me down. She paused and added "You're ok" before disappearing down another Jefferies tube towards the shuttle bay.

Tia couldn't quite believe what had happened. That was not the way she expected things to go at all and now she knew she was in so much trouble. She darted toward Eddie, pressing her fingers to his neck. His pulse was strong and steady thankfully . . . at least she thought it was, he was part Betazoid. Now there wasn't much to do but wait until help arrived.

"Why in the hell are there minors in here?," demanded a security officer heading a team appearing at the other exit.

"Dammm thats the Captains son isn't it?" she looked down and took in the scene ."Rook stay with them and get someone from medical down here. I'm pretty sure the Captain will be on his way. Hes a telepathic species. Hes got to know his sons been injured."

She rounded on Tia, "Which way did she go child?"

Tia pointed to the Jefferies tube that she had entered. "I think he's okay," she said about Eddie. "But you should probably arrest me because I'm the one that shot him. I thought it would keep him safe so he wasn't taken as a hostage. I thought she would take me."

"I think you better come down to the brig for questioning young lady, not just on the phaser incident but why you two were in a restricted area after hours too," Rook demanded.

He touched his comm. badge. =^=Security to medical. The Captains son has been injured. I am requesting a site to site transfer of him to you=^=

He went on to speak with one of the transporter rooms and Eddie materialised out of site.

Rook indicated she go toward one of the exits. "I don't wish to have to restrain you child but if I have too I will .... This way ... what was your name?" he asked her. "And who are your parents?"

"Lieutenant Richard Hawkins," Tia answered. Her father would probably be much more understanding of something like this than her mother. Of course her mother was likely to find out as well and True and Eddie's father . . . . she was in so much trouble.

“Right well miss we will be calling him,” Rook stated. “And get him down to security.”
