ON:

Eddie was not really sure about this but as he wasn't grounded by his mother - a technicality his father would likely not be to pleased about and his mother had really brought home the fact that monster outside might kill them all, he had found himself still turning up for this movie. Not that he was happy about things, Tia had shot him after all.

He supposed he was supposed to just "understand" and forgive but it was proving difficult. Still though his mother was right, their might be very few times left to enjoy a holomovie .... he reached the holodeck and waited.

Tia stopped just outside the holodeck when she saw him standing there. She was so surprised to see him. She thought he might not come after what happened. "You came." She said as she stood there with her eyes wide. Tia had thought a lot about what she should wear. Finally deciding that she should wear what she was comfortable in and what she felt like herself in which was on the upper side of dressing up for her. She wore a long skirt. Her golden brown hair was pulled back at the top and braided. "Eddie, I'm really sorry," she said shuffling her feet.

"Yes well you shot me. And it hurt. Like really hurt ...... You should have run when I was trying to get you to safety. Why didn't you run?" he found himself just blurting out. "I guess Im a little .... upset ..."

"I didn't want you to get hurt. I mean I thought she could drag you off with her if I ran. I thought I was protecting you." Tia's breathing was shallow and quick as she waited for any other words he had.

"No I was trying to protect you," Eddie said annoyed. "I had already alerted dad. I just had to buy time. You just needed to run not shoot me."

Tia felt like they were just going to go in circles if she explained herself to him once more. "I know you were." She replied just standing there, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "Do you still want to watch the movie?" She asked, making sure that he hadn't just come to tell her how mad he was.

"Well im here aren't I?" Eddie said. "Even though dads grounded me, mum says im not and told me to come as we could all die from that thing outside tomorrow. It was a cheery conversation."

"Sounds like it." She bit her lip and hoped he wouldn't get into trouble from this too. Why did he always seem to get into trouble around her? "Well," she said opening the doors. "Ta da!" It was an old fashioned theatre, the kind to first be grand and make movie going an event. It had ornate walls, rich tapestries and even a few balconies up above. "Help yourself to whatever snacks you want or you can add some," she added quietly. "I tried to think of everything and you can sit wherever you want."

“Okay,” he muttered walking over to a table with the snacks. She had done a good job, phenomenal actually. It had atmosphere. But he was mad at her so he wasn’t going to tell her that. He picked up a carton of popcorn and a glass of something. Neither was he going to venture to say she looked nice in her different clothes.

“What is it we are watching again?” He asked.

"Princess Bride. It's supposed to be a sort of fantasy adventure film. I thought it might have something we both could enjoy." Tia took some popcorn and a soda and glanced around for what she thought was the perfect spot in the theatre. "I can start it as soon as you're ready." She walked over to a spot and sat down, waiting for Eddie to give the word.

“Yes I’m ready,” Eddie said. He found he actually was enjoying the film until suddenly the little boy at the beginning asked his grandfather .. .“is this a kissing book?”

The part betaziod found himself sitting bolt upright as the memory of evil Amelia Fox smacking one on him returned for a second. Then he suddenly felt further uncomfortable. He actually liked Tia and the idea of kissing. And then he remembered she shot him.

“Is this a kissing movie?” He asked mirroring almost the young actor.

Tia raised her eyebrows at him. "I think there are a couple of kisses in it. But it's not all about kissing. It's supposed to be fun and amusing. My dad says it's a very good film," she assured him. "It's okay. It's not like you have to kiss me or anything. I know you're mad. But we can still watch a movie together."

“I heard there was a famous line .. “my name is indigo Montana. You killed my father. Prepare to die ...” Eddie said changing the subject. Yes he was mad but as his dad, mum and others had told him focusing on that wasn’t going to help the situation.

"I . . . don't know. I haven't seen this before." She really wasn't hungry, her stomach in knots but she ate some popcorn anyway as the movie began to play. It showed a boy, a little younger than her in bed. He began to have a conversation with his grandfather over the book he was about to read him.

Eddie seemed to perk up when the scene changed to the man with the quote he had mentioned sword fighting the pirate chasing them. "I can do this. Dad taught me. Fencing we call it. I mean I can't do it with my left hand but I can do some of that," he said proudly.

Tia turned an interesting expression toward him. "Oh yeah? Is that something he taught you because of your Betazoid tradition or . . .? I've been thinking I wanted to learn some kind of martial arts."

"Well Dads been teaching me. He wanted me to do boxing like him but both mum and True actually didn't seem that keen. Think I'm too young or something. So we did some fencing in the holo dec. You have protective wear on though. Not like those two.

I could show you," he found himself saying despite his anger at her.

"Maybe they think boxing is kind of violent compared to fencing?" Tia shrugged. "Sure, if you don't mind . . . . sometime." She was looking at Eddie, her eyes wide as if checking for any kind of sign in his expression that this anger was going to blow over. "Oh, I brought you something." She pulled out a collar from the pocket of her dress. It was small, black and had silver coloured spikes around it. "I thought maybe for the dragon, when we get him?"

Eddie took it and smiled. "Its nice thank you. He will love it. When he gets here."

"Oh look they are trying to resurrect the masked man. Chocolate," he giggled. "Oh what a good idea." He pocketed the collar and walked back to the snacks grabbed 2 chocolate bars. He handed one to her but didn't take his eyes off the movie after that.

The giggle surprised her. Tia took the chocolate bar and would have said thank you except he was paying no attention to her so she slide down into her seat with a small sigh. It could be so much worse, he could be not speaking to her at all.
