Soft gentle breathing, a warmth upon his back, was the first sensation Michael felt as he slowly woke up from his deep sleep. He thought he was dreaming at first, a pleasant one, with someone cuddled up to him. Drifting between slumber and wakefulness, where memories of dreams hovered. He started to drift back to sleep when his eyes flashed open. He thought it was just a dream the one with someone snuggled up against him, but it was not. For draped across his bare arm was a silken lock of hair. Memories flooded his mind, and he could feel his cheeks warm up. He wasn't in his quarters, he was in Iola's!

He also realized that he was wearing pajama's which gave him comfort as he didn't do anything untowards her. He didn't want to wake her by leaping out of bed, besides it felt nice here, with her soft form against him. He gently turned though to gaze at her beautiful features, resisting the urge to stroke back the errant lock of hair that was against her cheek.

At the shift of the warm body beside her, Iola opened her eyes and smiled, not even taken aback at the face that was so close to hers. "Hi..." She murmured. "Sleep okay?" She was certain that he had, because she knew the hot bath and the herbs she had used would've ensured a restful sleep. "Sores gone?" she then asked, shifting to run a slender hand across his bare side.

He breathed in, goosebumps rising at her touch, then nodded. "Yes the sores gone. " Michael replied, reaching out to tuck that strand of hair behind her ear. Then caressed her cheek. His heart starting racing, as he felt desire for her bubble up. He mentally shook his head, no, he can't. But they were in such an intimate setting. He closed his eyes, steeling his willpower. Then opened them once more. "Iola, perhaps I had better go I don't want to start something and you being unwilling for it to happen." he said with regret in his eyes. He didn't want leave but...he should.

She could feel his heartbeat under her hand and she looked up at him. "Why does heart go faster?" she asked quietly, shifting slightly atop the sheets that covered him, the single sheet that covered her sliding from her shoulder. "I unwilling to have you leave," she stated firmly, "if I wanted you leaving, I would have last night."

"My heart beats faster because I love you, and I also want to be intimate with you. You are desirable, intoxicating..." he drew in deep shuddering breath seeing the curve of her shoulder and her soft skin. He reached out to touch her shoulder, running his hand along its curve. He leaned into kiss her, stopping just before his lips touched hers. "I don't want to do anything that you don't want to do, the choice is yours, but I do want you, I want to be yours, to wake up each morning and see you next to me." Michael was committing himself to Iola with that promise.

She held perfectly still for a moment, closing her eyes. She hesitated, wondering if her master would be okay with this. But her master wasn't here, and wasn't she free to explore now? She opened her eyes, drowning herself in the eyes that looked up at her. She was free, she decided, leaning down to take the kiss that had been denied her for a moment. "I am yours," she finally answered, though for her, those words might have a slightly different meaning.

She shifted, wiggling herself under the sheets that separated them. "Always," she added as she shifted up to him.

Michael nodded, pulling her close to him and kissing her deeply, his thoughts were all about her, and how lucky he was to find this rare wonderful woman.

Sometime later.....

Michael looked upon the woman in his arms, pressing his lips to her forehead tenderly.

Iola rested her head upon his shoulder, closing her eyes at the tender kiss. "Now I need bath," she chuckled as she felt the sheets stick to her skin. It was uncomfortable but somehow, she found herself unwilling to move from the warm cocoon she currently found herself in. "And so do you," she added playfully as she lightly ran her fingers across his arm.

He nodded, feeling blissfully happy. "I do need a bath, though I don't want to move. " he groaned softly. Leaning in for one more kiss, before moving from the bed, rather reluctantly. He looked back at Iola, "This isn't a dream is it, I'm not going to be waking up and finding that this is just a wonderful dream?"

"Wonderful yes, dream no," Iola smiled as she slid from the bed too, not even bothering to cover herself. "No time for bath, you have shift yes?" She gave him a disappointed look, obviously wanting him to stay a little longer. "Shower and breakfast instead?"

At the mention of shift, Michael gave a start. "Shift yes that is true. I do need to report in. Shower, breakfast. Yes." he walked over towards Iola, giving her one more kiss. He hadn't even bothered to cover up either. "The crew must be wondering where I am at." he looked at the chronometer. "Nope I won't be late I've got enough time to shower, eat something, get dressed and head off to work." he looked at Iola. "I really don't want to leave but, I must. I'll make certain to get some time off and spend the entire day with you." smiling.

"You have work, I have work." She smiled back at him. "You come back after shift, I make dinner for you." Giving him her ever alluring smile, she disappeared into the shower and came back a few minutes later, wearing her favourite yellow dress. "I need to talk to Don, need to talk to other people too."

"Indeed, and I will come for dinner after shift." he managed to say, after just staring at her hungrily. She looked even more beautiful. "Yes breakfast, we go about our business." he walked over giving her another kiss. "You are so radiant."

Iola just smiled, happy to be able to please her man.
