Jon had decided to make a staff switch. Haulval was far more suited to intelligence and it was clear that with the lack of it on this Cetea and the appearance and rapid disappearance of this moon which had opened his eyes to really just how weird things were they could be facing, he needed a guy solely focusing on intel.

Luckily a friend had been able to recommend a suitable security officer quickly and they were not too far for sed lady to catch them up. As he was notified her shuttle had rendevouzed with them, Jon immediatly ordered her to report directly to his ready room.

=Officer’s Quarters=

Walking in the door, Rose smiled as she saw her baggage piled neatly in the middle of the lounge area. She’d just placed her shoulder bag down on the floor when the computer notified her that the CO wanted to see her right away. Giving a sigh, Rose wrapped Zeva up in her blanket and set out for the Bridge.

=Bridge/Ready Room=

Stepping out of the Turbolift, Rose made her way down to the door to the Ready Room, double checked Zeva was asleep, than tapped the door chime to let the CO that she was there.

"Come," Jon said loudly. He stood up from his desk to greet his new officer. "Lieutenant Belikov welcome aboard. I am happy you could take this position at such short notice."

Rose smiles, “I am happy to help. May I ask what is so important that you needed to see me straight off of the shuttle?”

"Well we have just had a moon appear and disappear," Jon said simply. "And we have a rogue group of Son'a I have concerns about. I just wanted to get you up to speed." He was sweeping her emotions carefully, wanting to ensure she was emotionally okay with taking this job after what she had according to her file recently endured.

"I also wanted offer my condolences on the loss of your recent husband and, even though it feels bittersweet saying this next ... offer my congratulations on the birth of your recent child. Counselor Keating, is available if you wish to avail yourself with her services and if you find you need any support off myself, my door is always open."

"thank you Sir, I shall keep that In mind. Do we have any explanation for the moons sudden appearance and disappearance?" Rose asked, doing her best to keep her emotions about Dimitri in check. She hadn't truly had time to grieve for him as Ziva had been born the same day.

Jon shook his head. "We know nothing other than there was one structure on there. The away team went down and found some sort of alien database but so far we have not been able to make head or tail of it."

"alien database? did they find any organic remains or other signs of a larger civilisation? I know it's very presumptuous, but did you follow decontamination protocol before bringing anything up from the moon?" Rose asked.

"Well considering my chief science and Medical officers were on that away team I surely hope so," Jon said. "I haven't had an offical debrief yet thats another one on the list for today. I think I will have all the senior staff attend actually. But my understanding is there was only one structure down there and no signs of life."

Rose nodded, “fair enough, I look forward to that debriefing. Now forgive my bluntness but is there anything else I should know? I’ve just gotten off of a long shuttle flight and i need sleep” she said, feeling Zeva start to wake.

Jon took no offence. He could sense she was tired. "No, thats all. Please return to your daugher and quarters. Dismissed Lieutenant"
