ON:

Fox had been dead to the world since she fell asleep as Aidan left her this morning. Either as a result of the injection or the encounter with Syvar, she wasn't sure. Another thing she wasn't sure of was why her feelings for the Doctor where changing. She had used men before in this way and it had never affected her like this. She was almost growing... Fond of him.. Her! Liking a Vulcan in that way! What was going on here?

She had been pondering this as she drifted off to sleep. Now even her dreams were plagued by that Vulcan.

Even the sounds of the door opening and someone entering did not rouse her from her deep sleep.

Syvar dismissed the guard on duty, under the pretense of needing some privacy. "Come back in a few minutes," he told the guard, "after you've let me in with her. I want you to re-engage the forcefield. Give me ten minutes, then come back."

Though the guard seemed reluctant to reply, he did so anyway. Watching the guard leave, Syvar now approached the sleeping form on the bed. "Amelia," he said softly, so not to startle her. "I have your book."

Slowly coming round, she saw Syvar looking down at her and without realising it, she gave him a genuinely warm smile. "Hello there." She suddenly realised who she was talking to and she sat up, she tried to cover for the warmth she was feeling toward him, but not doing a very good job. "Is this a house call Doctor?"

She suddenly noticed there was no guard and a coy smile played across her lips. "Just you and me? Aren't you the brave one Have you come to please me again?" she asked as she slid closer to him.

"No," Syvar answered, "and I really shouldn't be here at all. I'm in big trouble if the captain finds out as I'm here against orders." He stiffened as she slid closer, but didn't shy away from her. "I ordered the guard to give us ten minutes to talk, and I have the book you wanted."

That wild look was creeping back into her eyes. She looked at the book and placed it on the table next to the bed before turning her attention back to him."That can wait. 10 minutes eh? You've got a high opinion of yourself. Now, this morning was surprisingly good. You seem to be getting better each time. Let's see what you can do in ten minutes. Unless you rather I amuse myself for those ten minutes watching you writhe in agony?" She threatened him but the words sounded hollow like her heart wasn't in it.

"Come now, I'm sure you'd rather choose the former rather than the latter." Then she found herself adding quietly "I'd much prefer that too."

The doors to the brig opened again and Jon and a security team walked in. "You won't be doing either. Arrest the doctor for disobeying a direct order of not going near the brig. I am sorely disappointed in you Dr Syvar."

"And you if you make my crewman writhe in any more pain you will be sedated immediately," Jon insisted. "I want that remote and I want it now."

Fox sighed. "Captain. I believe the good Doctor promised me 10 minutes." She read the look on the captain's face and backed off slightly. "Well, you can't blame a woman for trying." She looked at Syvar with bittersweet eyes. "Goodbye Doctor. Until we meet again." She added with a wink as he was dragged from her cell.

She turned her attention back to the Captain. "Now, I don't suppose you want to help where the Doctor left off? You'd need breaking in, but it could be a challenge." She mused to herself.

“You already know you would fail in that challenge, and besides I like blondes and women from my universe,” Jon quipped.

Syvar tried to fight the security officers that held him off, but he was too sore to put any muscle into it. "No!" He called out, "no don't let her..." Yet whether it was concern or anger in his voice was undeterminable. "Captain no!"

Fox chuckled. "Calm yourself, Doctor." She turned back to the Captain. "He can be very dramatic for a Vulcan. Now, this remote you speak of. I have no such device, well not on me anyway." She held her arms open wide. "You're welcome to search me Captain but you should be gentle with me in my condition."

“You did a real number on him, it’s unsurprisingly he’s being dramatic,” Jon stated. He turned to the security team, “he’s confined to quarters. An officer will be stationed outside until I’m convinced I can trust you again. Tomorrow your scheduled for surgery to get that thing out of you.

And you,” Jon shook his head slowly at the fake Amelia, “well let’s just say our fox has a better poker face. So you can either surrender up the device now or I have you sedated anyway. You won’t be moving much trust me if you don’t. A source of ours is sending through schematics of that device. Either way you have no further power over Syvar, so this little game ends now.”

The Vulcan's cries could be heard though they seemed to fade as security dragged him off.

Amelia studied him for a moment. "The activation device is on a PADD in my... Amelia's quarters."

Jon sensed nothing but truth. “Thank you. Have you implanted any more of these devices in anyone else?”

She sighed "Alas no. I did not have the opportunity. You really should consider using them, they are a most efficient way of ensuring loyalty, as demonstrated by the good Doctor. So, what is to become of me now?"

“That’s not how we do things,” Jon said sharply. “And that’s a very good question. I’m going to have to speak to some .... probably several people. So I’ll get back to you on that. In the meantime get comfortable here.”

She looked around then quipped "Well I've been in worse prisons so I suppose this will do for now, but that bed is doing nothing for my back in my condition." She gave him an almost friendly look.

"I'd have more sympathy if I knew my medical doctor wasn't in a condition right now," Jon said. The thought of Syvar again brought back his anger both that he had disregarded his direct order and the fact he had been right in suspecting it would happen. "Theres nothing wrong with that bed," he insisted.

"Now back to this device, our doctor is under the impression it will explode if we try remove it," he directed at her.

Fox shook her head. “Of course it wont explode.” Off his look she went on “Please... If people thought they could be easily removed, they would become useless. As for information if you give me a PADD I’ll write down details on the Ceteas operation on the planet below to begin with.”

Jon again could sense truth. His intuition was bang on the money. He pulled a PADD out of his pocket and handed it too her after locking it down so that she could only write notes. He had nothing more to say to her so walked out again of the brig hitting his comm. badge.

=^=Sickbay prepare Dr Syvar for surgery. That device will not explode. Get it removed from him immediately.=^=
