"So what happened down there? I haven't had a debrief yet. I expected to find you all in decom still. Seems the cycle is faster than I remember it," he chuckled. He had, had his fair share of that process.

And now the continuation ……

Rose shrugged, "I don't quite know what happened. It seemed like everything was progressing smoothly than out of nowhere it turned into a firefight. The fight was short enough though as their leader came in and quickly shut down the aggression stating something about the air. I can't remember what exactly, I was too busy dealing with a new hole in my leg"

“Who’s leader?” Asked Jon. “Nothing had come up in any scans on the bridge,” he commented.

Just then Graham interrupted over the comm. "Bridge to captain. We've located the Orion on the internal scan. She's...uh, in Ensign Han's quarters. I'm sending a security team to interrupt them."

Jon looked seriously at Syvar and avoided Trues eyes. "Doctor I think perhaps you and I ought to have a Pheromones inoculation."

"Why?" Syvar seemed confused. "Wouldn't it be more prudent to give her the same treatment as we gave Miss Iola, and inhibit her pheromone emission?"

"Yes," Jon said with a inward chuckle. Syvar didn't seem to realise what was going on. Not that Han should be … well what could he do now … "But I need time to diplomatically negotiate that. We can't just force that on her. I would like to be of clear mind when I do so. Iola didn't understand her abilities so that conversation went easier."

"That's easy captain. As a guest on our vessel, he needs to comply with our rules, and pheromones reduce someone's ability of free will. As that is dangerous, and we have a duty to keep the crew safe, such inhibitors could be mandatory in regards to our safety."

"Syvar, these orions are not your run of the mill Federation orions. People in the Beta quadrant are not always going to want to or probably do so … comply to our rules. Yes you are indeed correct we do have a duty of care. And as I am wanting to speak with and gather as much information as possible from this scientist as to what is going on down there and what they potentially know about our potential contaminant,I think it prudent to go in gently. Wouldn't you agree?"

"If you say so. I'd be more at ease if she wasn't able to control people at a whim," he countered, "but I defer to your judgement."

"Hence the inoculations Doctor. I don't wish you and I to end up under any control," Jon nodded.

"Or any other of the male population on this vessel," Syvar remarked dryly.

“And some of the female population” Rose added, here eyes fixed back on True. Currently, her priorities were Ziva, herself than the ship. Once the first two were felt with, she could than help out with this Orion Scientist. Suddenly, Rose felt a sharp pain in her leg where the disruptor had hit. Grabbing her leg, she looked over at Syvar, “Doctor.....”

Syvar automatically ripped the fabric of her pants to expose the , what he had thought to have healed, injury. "Lay down," he ordered sharply, "get any tension off that leg. I'm going to numb your entire leg to avoid it spreading. True give her the baby before she tries to grab it from you."

The disruptor wound had started to swell and radiating from the hole along the veins of her leg was a black colour. The skin around the wound was starting to turn a deep green. Looking down at her leg, Rose’s breathing started to quicken as she began to panic, “what the....AAAAHHHHH!!” She said just as another pulse of pain hit her causing Rose to curl up again.

Syvar frowned. Then he became a flurry of activity, ordering nurses about. "I need you all to leave, now!" He ordered True and Jon. "Lieutenant Belikov, I'm going to sedate you. I promise Ziva will be here when you wake up but right now my priority is you. " As he sedated her, he wondered just what was going on. He'd been so certain he had properly treated the injury. "Take the baby counselor, I'll call when she's ready to wake up. This...may he a while."

Dr. Talios walked in, hands crossed behind his back. He nodded politely to True and the Captain. Then to Syvar he said, "Ops informed me that we have a combat casualty. Do you need assistance with the surgery?" He glanced at Belikov's leg. "Oh, done I see." He squinted his eyes. "What is the odd yellowish discoloration around the wound? Some kind of infection?" He stepped forward to the bio-bed.

"Of coursse," Said True over the sounds of the crying infant. "It's all right, Mommy will be fine in a bit. "I'm going to take her to my office." As it was very close by and should remain relatively quiet and relaxing for the infant. That was the theory anyway, True didn't have much experience with infants, children yes, but not in this current stage of life.

watching as True left with Ziva, Rose wanted to say something but as she was about to speak, the sedative kicked in and she fell unconscious.

“Keep me informed doctors, I’ll get a pheromone inoculation from one of the nurses,” Jon said, “and make sure you both get one afterwards as I’m hoping this women has knowledge about what this is and will be aiding you.”
